Substitute Teachers (Lower, Middle, and Upper School)
The Steward School, a leading independent, coeducational, day school in Richmond serving students from Prekindergarten through Grade Twelve, invites candidates to apply for Substitute Teaching positions.
Requirements: Essential requirements include being at least 21 years old and hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree. Substitutes must be able to support the Mission and Core Values of the school; be flexible; and have the ability and commitment to enact the lesson plan provided.
Desirable, but not mandatory, requirements include prior classroom experience.
Substitute teachers may be scheduled ahead of time, or, if available, may be called on the day needed for last minute subbing. The earliest call time for last minute subbing is 6:30am; arrival on campus no later than 7:45am.
We seek substitute teachers in all subject areas, serving all division (Lower, Middle, and Upper School).
